Associate Marine Claims Director (Hull and Machinery) - Global Lloyds Insurance Broker, City of LondonYour new companyYour new company is a very well established International Lloyds Broker based in the Heart of the City of London. Working from their attractive and spacious offices as an Associate Marine Claims Director you will be reporting into the Divisional director of the company and sitting within their Marine and Logistics class of businessYour new roleIn your new role you will be responsible for providing technical expertise by supporting assigned larger clients and in providing excellent and efficient service in relation to claims within the Marine and Logistics Class of business, whilst you will have no direct responsibility of staff you will be expected to help train and mentor more junior members of your team and in working as a member of the management team you will be expected to contribute to the operating plans of the overriding department.You will need to be capable of delivering high quality advice to the organisation in a practical and commercially focused way, manage assigned projects and contribute to other projects as and when required and provide relevant information to senior management. You will be expected to develop and nurture relationships with the market, maintains any ongoing delegated authority contracts appropriately and negotiate with markets in order to achieve the best outcome for their clients.Outside of this you will also be creating comprehensive claims documents, interpreting instructions and issues arising and then acting on them accordingly, act as a senior referral and escalation point for the team and regularly dealing with clients & producing brokers on larger more complex accountsWhat you'll need to succeedIn order to succeed the ideal candidate will need extensive Lloyds Market Marine Claims experience (specifically Hull and Machinery), in depth knowledge of the claims handling process and of specific product areas and related wordings as well as advanced knowledge of the Marine Insurance market.You will also need to be a very confident communicator in both verbal and written format, posses very high levels of Numeracy and Literacy skills and be a very confident networker in order to create and build upon existing relationships. You will need to be passionate about mentoring and growing more junior members of the team as whilst you do not have specific line management duties training and internal career development is a key aspect to our clients DNA.You will also need to be very analytical, able to react positively to change, able to work independently and have a strong understanding of regulatory environment and how they impact your new organisation at large.
