Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SC Cleared Agile Delivery Manager with strong Product Management experience to support a major technology and digital transformation programme with our key client.The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of Agile Delivery and Product Management, taking ownership of delivery while working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and suppliers to shape priorities and ensure solutions deliver measurable business value.This aligns well with the clients technology environment, where its IT Delivery function works across Agile and Waterfall methodologies, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives. Its wider technology strategy includes cloud, data, AI/ML, GIS modernisation and zero-trust security.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end Agile delivery of complex digital and technology initiatives.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate these into clear product requirements, priorities and outcomes.
• Own and maintain product backlogs, roadmaps, user stories and delivery priorities.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives and showcases.
• Balance the responsibilities of an Agile Delivery Manager and Product Manager, ensuring both successful delivery and alignment with the wider product vision.
• Define and communicate product goals, outcomes, priorities and success measures.
• Work closely with engineering, architecture, cyber, data and business teams.
• Manage dependencies, risks, issues and delivery blockers across multiple workstreams.
• Engage senior stakeholders and provide clear reporting on delivery progress, risks and product outcomes.
• Challenge requirements and priorities to ensure teams focus on delivering the highest-value outcomes.
• Support continuous improvement across Agile ways of working.
• Coordinate internal teams and third-party suppliers where required.
• Ensure technology solutions meet appropriate security, governance and regulatory requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Active SC Clearance
• Strong experience as an Agile Delivery Manager, Product Manager, Delivery Lead or Technical Product Manager.
• Demonstrable experience delivering complex technology/digital transformation programmes.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps and prioritisation.
• Strong knowledge of the full product/delivery lifecycle, from discovery and requirements through development, deployment and continuous improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical delivery teams.
• Strong experience managing dependencies, risks, issues and blockers.
• Experience defining KPIs, outcomes and measures of product success.
• Comfortable working within complex, regulated enterprise environments.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience within utilities, water, energy or Critical National Infrastructure (CNI).
• Experience delivering secure technology or digital products.
• Knowledge of cloud, data, cyber security, infrastructure or enterprise application transformation.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering and technology teams.
• Product Owner / Product Management or Agile certifications would be beneficial.

Ideal CandidateThis role would suit someone who is more product-focused than a traditional Delivery Manager, but still has strong ownership of delivery. They should be comfortable challenging stakeholders on priorities, shaping a roadmap and defining outcomes while ensuring Agile teams deliver effectively.
