Job Description

Your new company
You will be joining a leading facilities management provider responsible for delivering a high-profile Hard FM contract within a complex Defence estate.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, established operation where performance, compliance and service delivery are critical. Working across operational delivery, scheduling, technical compliance, quality and support functions, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement across the contract.
The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining home working with regular travel to operational sites.
Your new role
As Performance Manager, you will take ownership of contract performance, using data and operational insight to ensure contractual obligations, SLAs and KPIs are consistently achieved.
Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will monitor and analyse performance across the contract, identifying trends, risks and areas for improvement. Crucially, this role is not simply about producing reports. You will use the information available to understand the underlying causes of performance issues and turn your findings into measurable operational improvements.
Please note that this role will involve working on and visiting a site where animal testing takes place.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and analysing contractual KPIs, SLAs and wider performance data.
  • Identifying trends, emerging risks, performance gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Undertaking root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Developing data-led performance improvement strategies.
  • Monitoring leading and lagging indicators to identify potential contractual risks.
  • Developing and improving dashboards, reports and management information.
  • Ensuring performance data is accurate, reliable and auditable.
  • Acting as a subject-matter expert for the CAFM system.
  • Coordinating contractual performance reporting and governance submissions.
  • Working closely with operational, technical compliance, scheduling, quality and support teams.
  • Supporting senior stakeholders with clear, meaningful performance information.
  • Identifying opportunities to automate, simplify and improve existing processes.
  • Connecting performance insight with lessons learnt, operational experience and customer feedback.
  • Coaching operational teams on performance data, reporting requirements and best practice.
  • Supporting a culture of continuous improvement across the contract.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced performance professional with a strong understanding of Facilities Management operations and the ability to translate complex data into practical improvements.
You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience within the Facilities Management industry, with an understanding of operational FM service delivery.
  • Strong experience of KPI and SLA performance management within an FM contract environment.
  • Advanced analytical and reporting capabilities.
  • Experience interrogating complex datasets and identifying trends, risks and root causes.
  • Strong knowledge of CAFM systems and their use within operational FM.
  • Experience using business intelligence and reporting tools.
  • The ability to develop and maintain dashboards, performance frameworks and management information.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • The confidence to constructively challenge operational performance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of data integrity.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to performance improvement.
  • Comfortable working on and visiting a site where animal testing takes place.

Experience using Maximo would be particularly advantageous.
Due to the nature of the sites and contract, you must be a British national, hold a full UK driving licence and be able to obtain/hold SC security clearance.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, including:

  • up to £60K per annum
  • 6% matched employer pension contribution
  • Private medical cover for you and your partner
  • Company car or car allowance
  • Life assurance at 2x annual salary
  • 25 days' annual leave
  • Hybrid working
  • The opportunity to work on a significant and complex Defence FM contract

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys getting behind the numbers and understanding why operational performance is changing, rather than simply reporting on it.What you need to do now
