Assistant Site Manager

Due to continued growth within their East Midlands division, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Site Manager to join their established team. This role offers an immediate start and the opportunity to work on a development across the East Midlands, supporting the successful delivery of new-build housing projects.

Your new role
As Assistant Site Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of a busy residential development. Typically, operating one level below the Site Manager, you will take ownership of specific phases of the build programme, depending on your experience and strengths. Your responsibilities may focus on the front-end stages of the build including:

• Groundwork
• Infrastructure
• Foundations and superstructure work
• Ensuring subcontractors meet the programme
• Quality expectations.

Alternatively, you may oversee back-end activities such as:

• Internal finishes
• Quality inspection
• Snagging
• Customer care and handovers
• Ensuring homes are completed to the highest standards before occupation.

You will be responsible for maintaining health and safety on site, coordinating subcontractors, monitoring build quality, ensuring programme deadlines are met and helping to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have previous experience of residential housebuilding in a supervisory, management or assistant management position. You will have a strong understanding of the construction process from groundwork through to completion and handover.
You will also require:
SMSTS, SSSTS or equivalent site management qualification
Valid CSCS Card
Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements
Excellent communication and subcontractor management skills
A proactive attitude with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
Full UK driving licence
