Front End Developer - UI Developer (Blazor)

REED Technology are supporting one of their clients on a greenfield digital transformation programme and are looking to engage an experienced Blazor UI Developer to join a newly formed delivery team.

The project is in its early stages, with core backend and integration specialists already in place. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and developing the user-facing elements of a new platform, working closely with software engineers, integration specialists, QA and Scrum team members.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a project from the ground up, helping shape both the frontend solution and the team's development approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain modern web applications using Blazor WebAssembly.
• Build responsive, intuitive and scalable user interfaces.
• Collaborate with backend and integration engineers to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.
• Translate requirements and technical specifications into high-quality frontend functionality.
• Develop reusable UI components and contribute to frontend best practices.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and team planning activities.
• Review, validate and optimise AI-generated code where appropriate.
• Ensure solutions are secure, maintainable and performant.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience developing applications using Blazor WebAssembly.
• Solid knowledge of:
  
  • C#
  • .NET
  • HTML5
  • CSS3
  • JavaScript
• Experience integrating frontend applications with APIs and backend services.
• Experience building enterprise-scale web applications.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.

AI-Assisted Development Experience

The team is embracing modern AI-enabled software engineering practices, therefore candidates should be comfortable utilising AI tools as part of the development lifecycle.

Experience with one or more of the following would be highly beneficial:

• Claude
• Codex
• GitHub Copilot
• Other AI-assisted coding tools

Candidates should be comfortable reviewing, validating and refining AI-generated code and working within a specification-led development environment.

Desirable Experience

• Greenfield project delivery experience.
• Experience working on integration-heavy platforms.
• Exposure to modern software architecture and design patterns.
• Understanding of UX principles and frontend design best practices.
• Experience helping define development standards and ways of working.

AI-assisted development tools such as Claude and Codex, helping shape both the product and the way the team delivers software from day one.
