Transport Planner
Location: Immingham
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 DOE
Hours: Monday-Friday, Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking an organised and proactive Transport Planner to join our growing team based in Immingham. This role will involve planning and coordinating daily transport operations, ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule vehicle routes across the UK.
- Coordinate drivers and vehicles to meet customer requirements.
- Monitor daily transport operations and resolve any issues that arise.
- Ensure compliance with driver hours, WTD regulations, and company policies.
- Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal departments regarding transport schedules.
- Maximise vehicle utilisation and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate transport records and reporting.
- Support the wider transport team with operational planning activities.
About You
- Previous experience in a Transport Planner or Transport Coordinator role.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the UK road network.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Competent using Microsoft Office and transport planning systems.
- Knowledge of driver hours and transport compliance legislation is desirable.
