Accounts Assistant (Part-Time)

- Hybrid Working 2 Days Office, 1 Day Remote
- 3-4 Days Per Week
- £28,000 - £32,000 Pro Rata (Dependent on Experience)
A well-established logistics business based in Team Valley is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its friendly finance team on a part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in transactional finance who enjoys working in a varied role across both purchase and sales ledger activities. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, highly organised, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Resolving supplier invoice queries with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Performing supplier statement reconciliations
- Assisting with supplier payment runs
- Processing and reconciling company credit card transactions
- Raising sales invoices (approximately 80-100 invoices per week)
- Supporting credit control activities, including chasing overdue customer accounts
- Assisting the Accounts Manager with month-end processes
- Providing general finance and administration support as required
- Undertaking ad hoc duties to support the wider business
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or similar finance role
- Knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts (essential)
- Experience with Boxtop software (advantageous but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- A proactive and positive approach to work
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
