Our client is a leading global specialist in advanced bespoke machinery and turnkey finishing plants, is seeking a talented CAD Technician to join its growing Engineering & Design team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on bespoke manufacturing equipment used by customers across the globe.
Salary & Benefits
£25,000 - £27,000 per annum

Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am - 1:30pm
The Role
As a CAD Technician, you will play a key role in transforming engineering concepts into detailed manufacturing drawings and layouts. Working closely with engineers, customers, and production teams, you will create accurate 2D and 3D designs for specialist machinery, conveyor systems, spray booths, curing ovens, and complete production line layouts.
A large part of the role will involve taking customer requirements and producing AutoCAD drawings for approval, adapting existing product catalogues and specifications to create bespoke solutions tailored to individual client needs.
Key Responsibilities
Produce accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD
Create assembly drawings, component drawings, and manufacturing documentation
Develop plant layouts, site master plans, and material flow designs
Revise and update drawings following customer and engineering feedback
Prepare bills of materials and component schedules
Ensure all designs comply with project specifications and safety requirements
What We're Looking For
Minimum 2 years' experience in a CAD-based position
Strong AutoCAD experience creating 2D and 3D technical drawings
Experience working within engineering, manufacturing, machinery, or industrial environments
Ability to interpret engineering schematics and technical specifications
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams
Highly Desirable
Experience with SolidWorks, Revit, or Inventor
Knowledge of machinery design, production layouts, or manufacturing processes
HNC Engineering qualification (desirable)
