Job Description

Payroll Specialist (APAC & EMEA)
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000k

An exclusive client of ours with a growing and expanding team and are looking for a detail-driven APAC and EMEA Payroll Specialist to manage their payroll operations across the APAC and EMEA regions. If you're passionate about accuracy, compliance, and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time, this role is for you.

As part of the Group, you'll play a key role in delivering seamless payroll services, supporting employees, and driving process improvements.

What You'll Be Doing

Payroll Processing & Administration

  • Manage end-to-end payroll operations with accuracy and compliance
  • Process payments for both salaried and hourly employees
  • Handle adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and deductions
  • Validate calculations and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain secure, confidential payroll records

Compliance & Reporting

  • Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, pension contributions, and benefits deductions
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations
  • Produce payroll reports and analytics for HR and Finance
  • Stay informed on payroll legislation and recommend updates

Employee Support

  • Respond to payroll queries quickly and professionally
  • Provide guidance on policies, deductions, and benefits
  • Support onboarding regarding payroll, tax forms, and direct deposit

System & Process Improvement

  • Assist with payroll system upgrades and automation initiatives
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to enhance efficiency
  • Develop and maintain payroll procedures and best practices

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain employee payroll records
  • Support audits with required data
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and secure document storage
  • Keep payroll systems updated with new regulations and rates

What We're Looking For

Required Skills & Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, or similar (preferred)
  • 3 years' plus payroll administration experience (mid senior level)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP, UKG, QuickBooks Payroll)
  • Solid understanding of payroll laws and tax regulations
  • Great Excel skills and reporting capability
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Ideally a heavier focus on APAC than EMEA but covering both as expanding into teh APAC regions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar payroll qualification
  • Multi-state or international payroll experience
  • Familiarity with HRIS and benefits administration
  • Experience using IRIS payroll a distinct advantage
