You will refresh tired, worn, or damaged accommodation with clean, warm, and uplifting colours helps residents feel valued, safe, and respected during a difficult transition.

Who We're Looking For?

An Apprentice Painter and Decorator working alongside a fully qualified time served painter and decorator to learn surface preparation, painting techniques, and decorative finishes for residential and commercial properties while completing a recognised trade qualification.

Essential Skills and Qualities

Good manual dexterity to achieve clean edges, smooth brushwork, and precise masking without bleed-through.

BasicSurface Prep Knowledge: Ability to sand, fill, scrape, and prime surfaces efficiently to ensure durable, long-lasting finishes.

Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Flexibility to work around older building quirks, varying room layouts, and fast-turnover shelter spaces.

Health& Safety Compliance: Understanding of safe ladder usage, proper ventilation, handling of non-toxic/low-VOC paints, and wearing appropriate PPE around communal areas.

Working towards measuring room dimensions accurately, calculate paint quantities, mix ratios, and read safety datasheets.
