Mortgage Broker

We're currently recruiting for a Mortgage Broker for our Estate Agency client based in Harpenden.

The ideal candidate must have been writing mortgages for a minimum of 1 year, with protection experience being a bonus, working across 3 offices - Welwyn, Harpenden and Berkhamsted with support from the Mortgage Administrators.

Candidates must be a UK Resident and ideally live within a 30-minute commute of the area.

You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have the use of your own car.

Salary and benefits package for the role of Mortgage Broker:

• Basic £30,000 - £40,000
• OTE £50,000 - £70,000 DOE
• Tiered commission structure
• Monday to Friday 8.30am - 6pm, 1 in 4 Saturdays working from home

Responsibilities for the role of Mortgage Broker:

• All leads will be provided including remortgage and new leads
• Responsible for 3 offices and will be required to work at all 3 of these
• Converting leads
• Manage a small team
• Keeping up to date with the current market and law
• Working closely with clients
• Meeting sales targets
• Developing new prospects
• Enhancing business relationships
• Applying your expert knowledge of the industry

Key skills for the role of Mortgage Broker:

• Minimum of 1 years+ experience writing mortgages
• Mortgage and protection experience
• Equity release experience (ideally)
• Be fully CeMAP qualified
• CAS status
• Personable and dynamic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and works well within a team
• Well spoken with strong communication skills
• Smart and well presented
• Ambitious and self-motivated
• Able to thrive under pressure
• Must hold a full UK driving licence and have the use of your own car
