Band 2 Driver

Location: Belfast
Duration: Temporary
Salary: Band 2
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday/Friday - flexible working available
Start: ASAP
Vehicle: Vehicle provided

Apple Recruitment Services are currently seeking a Band 2 Driver. This is a temporary opportunity working 22.5 hours per week, with the successful candidate required to provide transport and delivery support across Northern Ireland. A Trust vehicle will be provided for the role.

Duties will include:

  • Collecting and delivering materials, supplies, equipment and other items to and from designated locations across Northern Ireland.

    Driving the allocated Trust vehicle in a careful, lawful and responsible manner.

    Ensuring goods and items are secure during transit and delivery.

    Scheduling deliveries to ensure the most efficient use of resources.

    Accurately completing and returning all required paperwork and documentation.

    Ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and presentable inside and out.

    Carrying out daily routine checks of the vehicle, including fuel, oil, water and tyres.

    Completing vehicle logbooks and other documentation as required.

    Reporting any vehicle defects or issues through the appropriate procedures.

    Ensuring deliveries are made in a timely manner and providing a high-quality service.

    Reporting any incidents, complaints or other issues to the appropriate manager.

    Complying with relevant Health and Safety policies and procedures.

    Participating in appropriate training as required.

    Carrying out any other duties appropriate to the role as required.

Essential Criteria

  • At least 6 months' experience of carrying out goods deliveries.

    Must hold a valid UK driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle being driven. C1 licence is not required for this role.

    Must hold a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).

    Must be 18 years of age or over.

    A responsible and careful approach to driving and vehicle use.

    The ability to complete relevant paperwork and maintain accurate records.

    Good communication and customer service skills.

    The ability to work independently and manage deliveries efficiently.

    The ability to work as part of a team.

    A commitment to Health and Safety and following relevant policies and procedures.
