Location: Northampton (NN4 7BF)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Office-based, Monday to Friday (7:00am - 4:00pm or 8:00am - 5:00pm)

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Estimator with Roofing or Cladding experience to join a growing commercial team based in Northampton. This is an exciting opportunity to work on multi-million-pound critical infrastructure projects across the UK and Europe, supporting the delivery of some of the industry's most complex and high-profile developments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing competitive tenders, managing project costings, and supporting the successful acquisition of new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for roofing and cladding projects.
• Review tender enquiries, specifications, drawings, and contract documentation.
• Carry out detailed quantity take-offs and material calculations.
• Source, obtain, and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare tender submissions, pricing schedules, and cost breakdowns.
• Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.
• Liaise with clients, main contractors, architects, consultants, and internal project teams.
• Attend pre-tender, post-tender, and client meetings as required.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor market trends, labour rates, and material costs to ensure competitive pricing.
• Support the project handover process to operational and delivery teams.
• Ensure all estimates are completed accurately and in line with company procedures and commercial objectives.

About You

You will be an experienced Estimator with a background in roofing, cladding, façades, rainscreen systems, or the wider building envelope sector. You will have strong commercial awareness, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.

You will be confident interpreting technical drawings and specifications, communicating with stakeholders at all levels, and contributing to the successful delivery of major construction projects.
