We are seeking an experienced manager who can hit the ground running, providing stability, leadership, and operational oversight from day one.

As Interim Catering Manager, you will:

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the catering department.
  • Manage, support, and develop a dedicated catering team comprising:
  • 2 Chefs
  • 3 Catering Assistants
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality food services to patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and compliance.
  • Manage stock control, ordering processes, supplier relationships, and budgets.
  • Oversee staff rotas and resource planning.
  • Drive service improvements and operational efficiencies where appropriate.
  • Ensure all dietary, nutritional, and food safety requirements are met.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in a Catering Manager or Catering Supervisor role.
  • Previous experience managing catering operations within healthcare, hospice, care, education, or similar settings.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety legislation and compliance standards.
  • Experience managing budgets, stock, and catering resources.
  • The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of the service from the outset.
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Relevant Food Hygiene qualifications (Level 3 desirable).
  • Allergen awareness training matching Natasha's Law requirements
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Standard DBS check

Join a respected and compassionate organisation in a meaningful interim role for a minimum period of two months with the possibility of an extension.

If you are an experienced Catering Manager who can provide immediate leadership and support to a busy catering department, we would love to hear from you.
