Robert Half is partnering with a well established organisation in the Brecon area to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive finance team where you'll gain broad exposure.

The Role
You'll play a key role in supporting the finance function and ensuring accurate financial reporting across the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
- Accruals and prepayments
- Cashflow reporting and monitoring
- Assisting with year-end audit requirements
- VAT returns and statutory reporting support
- Supporting process improvement initiatives
About You
We're looking for a proactive individual who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is keen to continue developing their finance career.
You will ideally have:
- AAT qualification or be studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA
- Previous experience in a similar Assistant Accountant role
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
