Job Description

Interim Accounts Receivable / Revenue Control Manager

Up to £45,000 6 Month Contract Sutton Coldfield Office Based

We are recruiting for an experienced Accounts Receivable / Revenue Control Manager to join a complex, high-volume business on an initial 6-month contract.

This is much more than a traditional AR or Credit Control management role. The key focus is on revenue control, reconciliations, systems and process improvement, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, identifying issues and improving how things are done.

The business operates across multiple revenue streams, creating a complex environment where ensuring income is captured, reconciled and reported accurately is critical.

The Project

You will be brought in to take ownership of the revenue position and help strengthen the controls and processes behind it.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and improving revenue controls across multiple income streams
  • Ensuring reported revenue accurately reconciles to bank receipts, cash and outstanding balances
  • Investigating discrepancies and identifying root causes
  • Improving AR, reconciliation and revenue processes
  • Reviewing how current finance systems are being used and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Analysing large data sets and producing meaningful reporting
  • Supporting improvements around month-end revenue reporting
  • Managing and supporting a small transactional finance team

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is naturally analytical, systems-focused and improvement-driven.

You will ideally bring:

  • Strong Accounts Receivable, revenue control or income accounting experience
  • Excellent reconciliation and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel capability, including Pivot Tables and data analysis
  • Experience improving financial processes and controls
  • Confidence working across multiple systems
  • Previous team management or leadership experience
  • The ability to quickly understand a complex finance environment and make an impact

Experience within hospitality, leisure, retail, travel or another multi-revenue-stream environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

This is a genuine interim project opportunity where you can come in, take ownership and leave the function in a stronger position.
