Job Description

Reed Accountancy is proud to be working with a York-based business that is seeking a Finance Administrator to join their team. This is a full-time, office-based role within a busy environment, where you will provide financial support, administrative support, assist with budget monitoring, and use strong organisational skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Purchase ledger processing; invoice processing, account allocation and nominal coding
  • Assist in preparation of reports required
  • Raise purchase orders
  • Assist with the input income and expenditure information
  • Assist staff with administration queries
  • Provision of administrative and secretarial duties as required
  • Assist senior staff with budget preparation and revision
  • Undertake some administration of accounts, including handling cash, collecting monies and payments of bills and invoices
  • Participate in the performance management scheme
  • Assist in monitoring the budget regularly and liaise with the senior finance team.
  • Monitor stock levels, order office materials, equipment services and check incoming orders including processing of payments

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience within a finance role
  • Experience working within office environments
  • Level 2 AAT minimum (desirable)
  • Organisational skills and commitment to continue professional development
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
