Job Description

Temporary HR Employee Relations Specialist

Location: Hybrid / On-site (as required)

Rate: £30 per hour

Contract: Temporary assignment

We are currently seeking an experienced HR Employee Relations Specialist to join a busy HR function on a temporary basis. This role will focus exclusively on managing and advising on employee relations cases, providing expert guidance to managers and employees across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full range of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance, capability and misconduct matters
  • Provide clear, pragmatic HR advice to managers in line with employment legislation, internal policies and best practice
  • Lead on complex and sensitive ER issues, ensuring fair, consistent and timely case resolution
  • Support and coach managers through formal processes, including attending hearings and meetings
  • Prepare accurate documentation, reports and correspondence related to ER cases
  • Ensure all ER activity is handled professionally, confidentially and in compliance with UK employment law

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a dedicated HR Employee Relations role
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law
  • Confident in independently managing high-volume and complex ER casework
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience (desirable)
