I'm currently recruiting for an Interim Assistant Accountant to support a well-established distribution business based in Garretts Green. This is a long-term interim opportunity, offering hybrid working and a steady, hands-on role within a supportive finance team.
The role:Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Interim Assistant Accountant will support day-to-day finance operations and assist with month-end reporting.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with month-end close, including journals and accruals
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting management accounts preparation
- Bank reconciliations and cash postings
- Assisting with VAT and statutory reporting where required
- Supporting Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger as needed
- Ad-hoc finance analysis and reporting
- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar interim finance role
- Confident with journals, reconciliations and month-end processes
- Strong Excel skills and experience using finance systems
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced distribution or operational environment
- Available for a long-term interim assignment
