Job Description

Experience using Sage software would be useful but not essential as the company will provide the necessary training. Key however will be your ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills and a willingness to adopt and use innovative technology.

In this role you will have stand-alone responsibility for all finance functions in the company working closely with the Managing Director

Key duties of the finance role:

  • Preparation of accounts using Sage.
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly payroll.
  • Preparation of monthly CIS returns.
  • Working with our external accountants to prepare monthly management accounts.
  • Preparation of monthly management reports and updating budgets.
  • Importing of sales invoices into Sage.
  • Review of applications and retentions.
  • Review of work in progress with external accountants.
  • Assisting with credit control and dealing with customer queries
  • Preparation and filing of quarterly VAT returns
  • Reconciling key control accounts on a monthly basis, (VAT, PAYE and net wages).
  • Dealing with supplier queries and payment of suppliers.
  • General administration duties required.

  • Excellent Computer skills (MS Excel, Project, Word).

  • Good communication skills, well-spoken and personable.
  • Confident and resourceful.
