We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our family-run hotel's dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in high-volume kitchens, preferably within a hotel or similar environment. This role involves maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene, managing stock control, and collaborating closely with the Head Chef to meet business goals.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene, ensuring the kitchen remains clean and organised.
- Manage stock control and ordering as required to ensure the kitchen is well-prepared for all service demands.
- Ensure compliance with all kitchen procedures and processes.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to align kitchen operations with overall business objectives.
- Adapt to varying business demands, ensuring seamless transitions between off-season and peak-season operations.
- Bring innovative ideas to enhance the menu while working within structured menu guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cooking, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Experience working in hotels or comparable businesses is highly preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
- Professional demeanor with a strong sense of pride in work.
- Capable of working within structured menus and bringing innovative ideas to the table.
