Role Description

I'm working with an independent accountancy practice that is looking to strengthen its Tax function with the appointment of an experienced Tax Manager.

This is a key hire within a growing team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio while playing a pivotal role in developing the firm's internal tax expertise and advisory offering.

The role is predominantly focused on personal tax and trusts, with exposure to a varied client base including agricultural clients, alongside a blend of compliance and advisory work.

What you'll do

  • Manage a portfolio of personal tax and trust clients
  • Oversee compliance work across personal tax and trusts
  • Advise on areas including Inheritance Tax planning and agricultural property tax relief
  • Build and develop client relationships
  • Identify opportunities to expand advisory services internally
  • Support the development of junior team members
  • Work closely with senior leadership to grow the tax offering

What you'll need

  • CTA qualified or part-qualified
  • Strong experience in personal tax and trusts
  • Proven experience managing a client portfolio
  • Exposure to advisory work (or desire to develop into this)
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach
