You will initially manage 5-6 live projects at any one time, typically ranging from £50k-£500k, while also contributing to estimating and tendering activities.

Importantly, this role offers a clear opportunity to step into a Commercial Management position within the next 12 months, with responsibility for overseeing and developing the Estimating function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full commercial management of demolition and enabling works projects
  • Producing valuations, managing variations, and concluding final accounts
  • Preparing estimates for tendered and negotiated works
  • Commercial reporting, cost control, and forecasting
  • Issuing Early Warning Notices and managing compensation events
  • Working under NEC contracts
  • Liaising with site teams, clients, and directors
  • Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff as the role develops

About You

  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Background in demolition, civils, or groundworks, or specialist contractor
  • Proven ability to run your own projects independently
  • Confident managing variations, notices, and cost reporting
  • Ambitious, forward-thinking, and keen to progress into Commercial Management

What's on Offer

  • £45,000 - £60,000 salary (dependent on experience)
  • Car allowance
  • A clear progression route into Commercial Management within the next year
