Mechanical Design Engineer

Your new companyA long-established and highly regarded building services consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced engineer to join their London team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who values technical quality, continuity of projects, and working closely with colleagues in a collaborative office environment.Your new roleYou will play a key role in the delivery of building services designs across a broad range of projects, working from concept through to construction and handover. The position is suited to an engineer who enjoys being hands-on, technically involved, and visible within the project team.Key responsibilities include:

• Mechanical across multiple project stages
• Coordinating with architects, structural engineers and clients
• Producing and reviewing technical calculations and specifications
• Supporting junior engineers and contributing to design quality
• Attending project and design team meetings

ProjectsThe consultancy works on a varied and high-quality portfolio, including:

• High-end residential developments
• Commercial offices and workplace refurbishments
• Education and institutional buildings
• Heritage and conservation-led projects
• Complex refurbishments in live environments

Many projects are repeat-client commissions, offering continuity and long-term involvement rather than short, transactional schemes.What you'll need to succeed

• Strong reputation for technical rigour and design quality
