Agricultural / Commercial Property Solicitor
Penrith Full-time Office-based (Hybrid considered)
A well-established and highly respected Cumbria-based law firm is looking to recruit an Agricultural and/or Commercial Property Solicitor to join its growing team in Penrith.
This opportunity is being managed on a retained recruitment basis, reflecting the importance of the hire and the firm's commitment to securing the right long-term candidate.
The Role
You will join an experienced agricultural and property team, working on a broad range of matters including:
- Agricultural land sales and purchases
- Rural and farming-related property matters
- Commercial property transactions
- Acting for landowners, farmers, and rural businesses
- Managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
The role has arisen due to a developing skills gap within the team and planned long-term succession, making this a key strategic hire for the firm.
The Team
- Led by an experienced Head of Department
- Supported by solicitors and trainees who have progressed naturally and internally
- A collaborative and stable, office-based working environment
The Ideal Candidate
- 3-5 years' PQE (this is the ideal range, though strong candidates slightly outside this will be considered)
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- Experience in agricultural law and/or commercial property
- Able to hit the ground running
- Happy with a predominantly office-based role in Penrith
- NQ-level candidates will not be considered for this role
Working Arrangements
- Full-time, office-based role in Penrith
- The current team works full-time from the office
- Hybrid working may be considered for candidates based further afield
