The Financials

• Hourly Rate: £45.00 per hour

The Work-Life Balance:

• Hybrid Working: 3 days on-site in Carlisle / 2 days working from home.
• Manageable Duty: A favourable duty rotation of only 1 week in every 6-7, giving you predictable blocks of focused casework time.

The RoleAs a Child Protection Social Worker, you will be responsible for:

• Managing a complex caseload involving children at risk.
• Conducting Section 47 investigations and attending core groups.
• Drafting high-quality court reports and representing the authority in proceedings.
• Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure robust safety plans are in place.

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered).
• Substantial experience within Child Protection and Safeguarding.
• Strong assessment and report-writing skills.
• Ability to commute to Carlisle for the 3-day on-site requirement.
