Job Description

Robert Half are currently recruiting for a fully qualified Senior Auditor to join an established accountancy practice firm on a 3-month contract, supporting with year-end audits for a portfolio of clients.

Based in central Barnsley, this role will be working from the clients' offices, so we are looking for someone who is confident operating in a client-facing environment and able to make an immediate impact.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver year-end audits for a range of businesses
  • Plan, conduct and complete audit fieldwork efficiently and accurately
  • Review financial statements and ensure compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards
  • Work closely with clients on-site, building strong and professional relationships
  • Identify audit risks, prepare findings and report back to senior stakeholders
  • Support and guide junior team members where required

Key requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as a Senior Auditor within an accountancy practice
  • Strong background in year-end audits for external clients
  • Comfortable working on-site in client offices
  • Able to work independently, manage deadlines and handle a busy workload
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Contract details:

  • 3-month contract
  • Based in central Barnsley
  • On-site in clients' offices
  • Immediate start preferred

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Auditor who enjoys working directly with clients and is available for a short-term assignment in a busy practice environment.
