Senior Management Accountant

Location: Poole (Onsite, Monday-Friday)

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000

Job Type: Permanent Full-time

The Role

As the group continues to expand, we are looking to appoint a Senior Management Accountant to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations across multiple entities.

This role will be central to producing management accounts, strengthening financial processes, and providing commercial insight to support decision-making at group level.

This position would suit a hands-on accountant who enjoys working within a growing SME, where systems and processes are evolving, and where you can genuinely influence how the finance function develops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for multiple group entities
  • Production of consolidated group management accounts and reporting packs
  • Cashflow forecasting and financial reporting across the group
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Managing, supporting, and mentoring a small finance team
  • Reviewing transactional finance activity including purchase and sales ledger
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations across all entities
  • Supporting systems implementations and finance process improvements
  • Assisting with year-end processes and liaising with external accountants
  • Supporting new entity set-ups and group reporting requirements
  • Improving financial controls, processes, and reporting standards
  • Providing financial insight and support to senior stakeholders
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or exceptional Qualified by Experience
  • Proven management accounting experience within a multi-entity or group environment
  • Experience managing or supervising finance staff
  • Background in SME or growing businesses
  • Strong Excel and financial reporting capability
  • Experience using Xero and Fathom (or similar systems)
  • Comfortable working in a changing environment and improving processes
  • Well-organised, proactive, and able to manage competing deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with non-finance stakeholders
