National Sales Manager - Building Materials

70,000 to 80,000 + Bonus + Package UK Wide

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced National Sales Manager to join a growing business within the building materials sector. This role offers the chance to take full ownership of national sales performance and play a key role in driving commercial growth across the UK.

The National Sales Manager will lead and develop a field based sales team, setting clear direction, building capability, and ensuring consistent delivery against sales targets. This is a highly visible role, working closely with senior leadership to shape strategy, identify new opportunities, and strengthen the company's position in the market.

As National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing key customer relationships, developing new business, and ensuring a strong and consistent approach across all regions. You will also play a key role in embedding a positive, high performance culture within the sales team.

Key responsibilities of the National Sales Manager include:

Leading, coaching, and developing a national sales team

Driving revenue growth and improving overall commercial performance

Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers

Identifying and developing new business opportunities

Supporting negotiations and managing key commercial agreements

Working closely with internal teams to ensure a consistent customer experience

Monitoring performance and implementing strategies to improve results

Contributing to the wider business strategy and growth plans

Requirements for the National Sales Manager:

Experience in a National Sales Manager or senior sales leadership role

Background within building materials, construction, or a related sector

Proven ability to lead and develop successful sales teams

Strong track record of delivering sales growth and achieving targets

Commercially aware with experience managing pricing and margins

Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels

Self motivated with a proactive and results driven approach

Strong organisational and analytical skills
