Job Description

This Legal Counsel role, based in Leeds, offers a fantastic 12 month FTC opportunity within a leading global media business. You'll provide commercially focused legal advice while managing a broad range of contract work across multiple business areas.

Description

The Legal Counsel will be:

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements

Advising on contracts with both clients and suppliers across multiple business areas

Supporting business teams in negotiations and providing clear risk assessments

Advising on contract interpretation, dispute resolution and negotiation strategy

Supporting the development and implementation of commercial initiatives

Advising on contract law, intellectual property and data protection matters

Collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to support business objectives

Profile

The Legal Counsel should be:

A solicitor or equivalent with 5+ years PQE as a guide

Experienced in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts

Commercially minded, pragmatic and solutions focused

A clear and confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills

Highly organised with strong ownership and autonomy

Comfortable working in a fast paced environment

A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
