Description

The Legal Counsel will be:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts
  • Supporting procurement teams with contract negotiations and supplier arrangements
  • Advising on data protection matters including data processing and cross border transfers
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with policies and standards
  • Enhancing and streamlining contracting processes and frameworks
  • Working closely with risk, compliance and information security teams
  • Providing proactive, business focused legal advice to support decision making
  • Identifying and mitigating legal and commercial risks
  • Supporting the development of colleagues within the procurement function

Profile

The Legal Counsel should be:

  • A solicitor or equivalent with 2 years PQE or above
  • Experienced in commercial contracts including technology or procurement agreements
  • Knowledgeable in contract law, data protection and risk management
  • Able to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice
  • Confident managing workload and prioritising effectively in a fast paced environment
  • A strong communicator with excellent drafting and negotiation skills
  • Collaborative, proactive and able to work autonomously
  • Professional and capable of handling sensitive matters
