We are seeking a full-time School Science Technician to join our team on long-term supply. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to the Science department and ensuring that all equipment and materials are prepared for practical lessons. The role will involve working closely with the Science teachers to ensure that the laboratory is safe and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing equipment and materials for practical lessons
- Maintaining the laboratory and ensuring that it is safe and well-maintained
- Providing technical support to the Science department
- Ensuring that all equipment is stored correctly and is in good working order
- Assisting with the preparation of science experiments
- Supporting the Science teachers in the delivery of practical lessons
Requirements:
- MUST HAVE A CURRENT ENHANCED DBS.
- Some experience working with children.
- A degree in science or a related field
- Experience working in a laboratory environment
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
