Job Description

Are you an experienced Environmental Consultant looking to join a renowned, specialist sustainability consultancy? Our client specialises in built environment consultancy with a wide project spread across sustainable practice. Operating throughout the UK and hiring into their Manchester or London office. The team has grown a significant reputation as the go-to experts for innovative and strategic solutions, offering bespoke advice to improve biodiversity within urban areas. The Role: As a Natural Capital Consultant, you will engage on a variety of projects, offering bespoke and transparent advice to a range of clients, offering measurement and valuation of natural capital, biodiversity value and ecosystem service flow etc. You can expect to use metrics such as Biodiversity Metric 3.1, Environmental Benefits from Natural tool (EBN), in addition to other tools and assessment methodologies. The role requires a minimum of 3 years professional experience, with exposure to Biodiversity Net Gain seen as highly advantageous. Within the role, you would be responsible for tender production, client liaison, financial management and project programming. Undertaking technical reviews, providing outward facing support and inputting into business generation can also be expected. Qualifications / Requirements: Bachelor s degree in relevant field e.g. Geography, Environmental Sciences, Ecology (or similar). 3+ years professional experience within related disciplines. MCIEEM and CEnv/Cecol (desirable). Expert understanding of BNG, Natural Capital and Nature Based Solutions. Highly organised and ability to work autonomously is essential. Excellent written and spoken English. Experience completing technical reports. Client experience (tenders, networking, and business development) is highly advantageous.
