Tenancy Sustainment Officer

Venn Group are recruiting for a Tenancy Sustainment Officer for a reputable Housing Association to join their teamon a permanent basis. The post holder will provide effective tenancy management across a geographical patch, ensuring that all housing management functions are completed to a high standard. They will provide a valuable service to the community and ensure that tenants and families supported through challenging situations.

Location: Gloucestershire

Length: 6 months + (Monday - Friday)

Per Annum: £16.50 via Umbrella

Day to Day Duties:

  • Manage all housing management functions: (Voids and Lettings, Rent and Service Charge Arrears, ASB and tenancy breaches, Health and Safety and Fire checks, and Repairs and Maintenance)
  • Conduct compliance checks by their due date; recording and certifying them appropriately
  • Facilitate access to properties and facilities for contractors and repairs teams
  • Maintain a property inventory and replenish any items as required
  • Confirm that properties are ready to let as soon as possible after Voids are processed
  • Report and escalate incidents, accidents, and untoward events accordingly
  • Report safeguarding concerns to local authorities were appropriate
  • Monitor and review CCTV footage to manage any ASBs and specific or untoward events
  • Review maintenance works carried out in properties, confirm completion, and report any quality issues to the Neighbourhood Manager
  • To assist the Neighbourhood Manager in preparing a case for Court in relation to tenancy breach
  • Act as the main point of contact and promote positive relationships for the local community
  • Collect rents and service charges and respond appropriately to any arrears
  • Support service users to complete Housing Benefit claims during sign ups and after changes to their tenancy and financial circumstance
  • Relay any tenancy related information or concerns to the Neighbourhood Manager and Neighbourhood team

Essential Skills:

  • Good housing management experience
  • Access to a car
