Product Manager - Automotive Division

About The Role


The Automotive & IoT Line of Business is responsible for all customer and partner engagement activities for these key market segments. Our mission is to grow demand for Arms current products & services, while defining and leading the creation of the next generation. We do this working closely with sales and FAEs to engage our partners. This role is in the Automotive team, focusing on the needs of Arm's partners developing products for the automotive market.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with industry leaders to help to identify and define creative solutions for the future automotive and safety systems. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with technical or marketing experience to work closely with our world-leading engineering team on existing and new products across the portfolio.


What will I be accountable for as Product Manager?

  • Understanding the Automotive market, trends and requirements by working with our partners to research and develop future product specifications
  • Leading all aspects of the product life cycle from product definition through to product release, working closely the engineering team
  • Development of product strategies for IP products focussed on the needs of the Automotive market
  • Creation of collateral including presentations and white papers, for your products and their applicability to customer applications.
  • Development and management of collaborative and positive relationships with Arm's external partners in conjunction with Account Managers (sales) to secure licensing and design wins.
  • Leading the sales, licensing, legal and application engineering teams as the product expert, as well as by providing suitable product training to sell effectively.
  • Planning and execution of marketing activities to encompass press and analyst briefings, product launches, conference presentations and technology demonstrations.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering
  • Good knowledge of SoC design challenges and the semiconductor market
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to meet with customers and colleagues


Desirbale Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in Automotive electronics or Automotive systems
  • Good understanding of Functional Safety for Automotive or Industrial electronics applications
  • Experience of working in or directly with Automotive Tier1 or Tier2 electronics suppliers
  • Demonstrable product management experience
  • Experience writing business plans and commercial justifications
  • Experience in owning product strategies and defining product roadmaps
  • Experience of customer interaction of a technical
  • A good understanding of automotive software stacks and software product development
