This organisation prides themselves in being one that is integral, courageous and focuses on empowering their people.Your new roleThis role will be that of an Assistant Company Secretary - Manager. It is a unique role because it will involve duties of a Company Secretariat and a Paralegal, hence it is requiring someone who is experience in both. You will be involved in assisting with the Member, Board and Committee meetings along with providing Board services. One will be helping to develop and implement governance, operational policies and procedures. You will assist on a full range of corporate secretarial, paralegal and other matters including:

  • Company licensing and registrations
  • Annual and other filings
  • Maintenance of corporate records
  • Assist on corporate and commercial transactions and general matters as required
  • Collaborate across the organisation to achieve their Trust and Growth ambition

What you'll need to succeedIt is essential that you have excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide you with the ability to create, interact and maintain key relationships. Having the ability to analyse competing positions and develop practical solutions will optimise your work efficiency. You will frequently be working as part of a team and will have to adhere to tight deadlines.

  • Significant relevant corporate secretarial and paralegal experience gained at a major law firm and/or large in-house department
  • All requisite licenses including applicable law professional designations
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs, Teams and SharePoint
  • A highly organized and detail oriented approach with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • The ability to work independently with limited supervision while exercising good judgment on escalations
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach
  • Experience managing a high-intensity workload
