Children's Residential Service Team Leader - Ebbw Vale - Trauma Response / ASDTeam Leader/Deputy Manager, Social Care, Merthyr Tydfil, Children & Young People, EBD/ Mental Health/ ADHD and ASDYour new companyDo you want to for a small, local provider dedicated to creating a positive environment for the children who need it most?We are working with a small, local service provider near the Merthyr Tydfil area who operate multiple sites. The company focus on enriching the lives of their children and young people and engaging them with nature and the outdoors. Your new roleOur client is seeking a team leader in an active and engaging Children's home, with children and young people who have a wide variety of complex issues, mental health challenges and traumatic experiences. You will gain exposure to all aspects of management within a Children's home, with opportunities to step up and act as a Deputy Manager. The setting aims to be as fun and 'family feel' as possible with regular camping trips and other excursions, connecting the young people to the outdoors and enriching their lives. They want someone fun, who is also comfortable being vulnerable who can really connect with the residents. What you'll need to succeed

• QCF Level 3 Children and Young People.
• Two years' experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader.
• Working knowledge of relevant legislation.
• Experience with complex and/or challenging behaviour.
• Registration with SCW and on the DBS update service
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Any Health & Safety qualifications i.e. manual handling, food preparation (advantageous)
