Well-regarded financial services organisation is looking for an experienced DBA with expertise in Azure.

Our Ideal Person:

• Minimum 3 years' experience of maintaining a DBA role.
• Microsoft Azure experience.
• Experience in migrating SQL services to an Always On environments.
• Microsoft Certified.
• Must have a Production DBA background

In this role, you will:

• Act as an escalation point for operational support issues and remediation/root cause analysis
• Determine the scope of implementations and resource planning required and present technical and business consulting to the wider business
• Utilise hands on technical implementation skills using technologies such as SQL queries and PowerShell Scripting
• Produce technical proposal and manage risks and bottlenecks
• Act as an escalation point within the team and work closely with Data Governance and Data Protection to ensure data is protected at all time
• Lead on progress projects and deliver through from conceptual to production.
• Work closely with IT developers on continuous integration and projects
• Undertake impact analysis in order to monitor performance and implement fit-for-purpose solutions to meet business requirements
• Take ownership of the delivery of the infrastructure strategy and associated milestones; including backups, restores, alerting and monitoring
• Lead, motivate and develop colleagues in line with the culture, values and expectations of the organisation
• Perform database troubleshooting
