Sustainability Consultant Up To £50,000 p.a. plus benefits Due to increased workload, a modern progressive multi disciplined construction consultancy are looking to recruit a Sustainability Consultant capable of working within a demanding environment. Their Environmental Programme is a successful growing and integral part of their business and are able to provide a wide range of services to their clients for both new build and existing buildings. The Practice offer's assessment services such as SAP, energy and thermal modelling studies, BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes for new build. They are able to work with colleagues to deliver BIM Level 2 solutions. They also undertake existing stock assessments and produce strategies for existing stock carbon reduction. The Practice operates in the housing, commercial, health and education sectors. This is an outstanding opportunity to join one of the UK's leading multi-disciplinary Practice's. Practice-wide Responsibilities - Act in a professional manner at all times in the execution of your job role. - Maintain a flexible approach to work.- Assist in the development of new business. - Assist in the development of the Environmental and Building Services Group, including increasing skill levels and interface with all professional disciplines within the Practice. - Delight clients and obtain repeat instructions. - Continually seek improvements in both efficiency and quality. - Adopt a collaborative approach to working practices. - Comply with QA procedures and all published guidance notes. Job Responsibilities - The job responsibilities described hereafter are a guide and all employees will be expected to undertake tasks as directed by Members. - Undertaking SAP and SBEM calculations. - Code for Sustainable Homes assessment support and management.- Support in BREEAM Assessment Management with responsibility for project management and delivery of BREEAM 'information required' schedules - Support in energy modelling using appropriate software (IES). - Support in development and delivery of appropriate retrofit strategies. - Preparation of SAP results for inclusion in the Energy Strategy reports.- Energy surveys on existing buildings. - Client liaison and meeting attendance. - Provide technical and practical advice to project design team members. - Project management. - Assist the team in any business development as required. Working Practices - Undertake all duties in accordance with Practice procedures.- When required participate in multi-skilled teams internally on single large projects or multiple smaller projects. - Provide project support in relevant skill to other as part of a multi-skilled team. - Attend and actively contribute to design reviews and planning meetings. Personal Specification (knowledge, skills, experience) - 4+ yrs experience in similar role - Seeking qualification to degree level in a suitable scientific or engineering discipline. - Familiar with BREEAM Retail, Bespoke, Offices and Education. Any qualification in BREEAM will be welcomed. - SAP and SBEM assessor. - Familiar with Code for Sustainable Homes assessor. - Familiar with IES. - You will be able to work in the UK without restriction.
