SEND IT/Computing Teacher KS3 / 4 with SEMH experience Immediate start pending recruitment Are you an IT/Computing teacher with experience planning, delivering and resourcing good or outstanding lessons? Do you have experience teaching Primary or Secondary students? Are you looking for a new challenge or opportunity? Do you have an interest in working with children who have Special Educational Needs in particular SEMH? If so then we are keen to speak to you! We are working in partnership with a school in the Oldham area who are looking for an IT / Computing specialist teacher to deliver lessons potentially up to GCSE. This school is a specialist provider for children and young people with SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) so a teacher with experience or confidence dealing with these needs is ideal as the young people can exhibit challenging behaviour. Working in an SEMH environment can be one of the most rewarding education settings as many pupils come from sensitive and vulnerable backgrounds and you could be a part of a multi-disciplinary team working to ensure structure and balance is added to their lives. Ideal candidates will: Have QTS, QTLS or other relevant teaching qualifications Have experience delivering IT / Computing to students in primary or secondary settings including entry level and GCSE level qualifications. Be sensitive to the needs and backgrounds of some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young people Have passion and interest in your subject and be committed to the wider life and ethos of schools Be available immediately Be able to provide a minimum of 2 references to cover the last 2 years employment history Candidates who have experience or are interested in opportunities within the SEN sector will be subject to Premier Education s stringent vetting procedures including referencing and DBS checks as well as a registration interview.
