English SEND Teacher Doncaster Pay to scale £115 - £160 Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: UK QTS/QTLS and experience working with students with special educational needs. Contract Dates: ASAP - Date dependent on clearance process Vision for Education are currently recruiting for a SEND teacher to teach English in secondary classes in a SEND school located in Doncaster. The role The children and young people at the setting have needs ranging from medical needs, mental health issues and autism. The children and young person also have behavioural difficulties. Vision for Education are currently seeking an experienced secondary teacher who can embark on this fantastic opportunity. The successful candidate will be able to: Deliver quality first teaching Provide a broad and balanced curriculum Actively engage in EHCP meetings Plan, prepare and research lessons Make use of specialist facilities Enable students to access the wider community Be committed to ensuring students are provided with a safe and stimulating environment. The School The school is a pupil referral unit located in Doncaster and specialises in supporting young people who experience a range of difficulties. This includes, but is not limited to, medical needs, mental health difficulties, autism and school aged pregnancy. The school caters for young people ranging from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5. The school caters for a broad range of needs. This is an extremely rewarding environment to work in but can be challenging. Requirements To be considered for the position of SEND Teacher, you will need to: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) Primary or Secondary subject specialism Experience working with children with a variety of SEND including but not limited to, MLD/SLD/PMLD/ASD/SEMH/SEBD/PD/VI/HI and other complex needs Have previous experience within a similar specialist setting or strong transferable experience from a mainstream setting Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of SEND Teachers and LSA s Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons Vision for Education is committed to Safeguarding children and young people.
