SIG Design & Technology offers a complete and impartial roof design and supply service for both new build and refurbishment projects, including single ply, zinc, copper and stainless steel roofing and cladding, and green roof systems.

At SIG Design & Technology, we are currently looking for an experienced and motivated candidate to work in our busy Technical Design Office as an Technical AutoCAD Designer to carry out detailed design drawings and provide technical support for customer projects, as well as other Main Contractor engagement and Architects, Roofing Contractors and Domestic projects
What does the role involve?
As an Technical AutoCAD Designer, you will liaise with Main Contractors / Architects and Roofing Contractors regarding bespoke, often complex, detailed drawings and Specifications, and produce a general library and project specific CAD detailing for our range of waterproofing solutions. You will give technical support and advice for our approved contractors and SIG Roofing Branches, by undertaking and sourcing technical calculations for the wide variety of flat roof waterproofing products and associated elements, including wind uplift, Insulation "U values", and drainage and condensation risk. You'll coordinate with specification producers both internally and externally regarding compliant solutions.
Working alongside the SIG D&T Sales Team, you will also help to ensure that flat roofing inquiries are converted into sales through our strong Specification production including full Project Proposals for our Major Projects Division, where quick turnaround time and accuracy of information is key.
You'll be expected to maintain and expand on our commitment to support not only our Accredited Roofing Contractors but most importantly maintaining the momentum and good will that has been developed with Key Main Contractors, providing a platform to roll this service out with other organisations in the near future.
To be successful in this role you will:

be an experienced AutoCAD Designer
Ideally have some knowledge of the standards and regulations within the construction industry.
have excellent communication and influencing skills and be able to engage with all members of the design and construction teams
