IT Support Team Leader

£37,000 to £42,000 basic salary per annum plus benefits including bonus (approx. 5-10%), pension, 23 days holiday (increasing with length of service), healthcare scheme, incentives and excellent training & development plans etc.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an IT Support Team Leader to join an industry-leading organisation based in central Reading. Working within a small internal IT team, the IT Support Team Leader will remain hands-on across 1st and 2nd line support, taking ownership of more complex issues while also contributing to project and improvement work.

The role offers a genuine longer-term route into IT leadership. You will work closely with the IT Director, gradually taking on more responsibility with the potential to progress into management and ultimately lead the IT function as the business continues to grow.

The successful IT Support Team Leader will have strong previous IT support experience, ideally at 2nd line or senior support level, and be comfortable troubleshooting independently and administering Microsoft 365 environments. Previous leadership or mentoring experience would be beneficial, although ambitious Senior IT Support Engineers or Technicians looking to step into leadership would also be considered.

• Microsoft 365
• Azure AD / Entra ID
• Strong 1st and 2nd line troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of technical issues
• An interest in developing into team leadership and IT management
