Tamar Roofing & Building Services Ltd is a rapidly growing roofing and building company based in Plymouth, delivering high-quality roofing services throughout Devon, Cornwall and the wider South West.

We are an ambitious business with a strong vision for growth, and we're looking for a talented, creative and driven Videographer / Social Media Manager to take complete ownership of our social media presence and help establish Tamar Roofing as one of the most recognised roofing brands in the South West.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves creating high-quality content, understands social media trends and knows how to turn everyday business activities into engaging videos that attract attention, build trust and generate enquiries.

We're not looking for someone who simply posts a few pictures each week. We want someone who can build a brand, tell a story and make our business stand out from the competition.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for managing our social media platforms, producing professional video content and developing creative marketing campaigns that showcase our projects, team and company.

This is a hands-on role combining videography, video editing, photography, social media management and digital marketing.

You will regularly visit our roofing projects throughout Devon and Cornwall, capturing high-quality footage of ongoing work, completed projects, customer testimonials and behind-the-scenes activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Videography & Content Creation

• Plan, film and edit high-quality videos for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube.
• Visit active roofing sites to capture project progress, transformations and completed installations.
• Produce engaging Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts and longer-form videos.
• Create professional promotional videos and company advertisements.
• Film customer testimonials, team interviews and behind-the-scenes content.
• Capture high-quality photography for marketing, advertising and our website.
• Produce creative content that showcases our workmanship and professionalism.
• Develop engaging video concepts, scripts and storytelling ideas.

Social Media Management

• Take full responsibility for the company's social media accounts.
• Develop and manage a structured weekly and monthly content calendar.
• Create, schedule and publish engaging content consistently.
• Write professional, attention-grabbing captions.
• Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities for viral content.
• Respond to comments and engage with our online audience.
• Grow our followers, engagement and brand awareness.
• Maintain a consistent and professional brand identity across all platforms.

Marketing & Business Growth

• Develop creative campaigns to generate new customer enquiries.
• Work closely with the company director to plan marketing strategies.
• Create content promoting special offers, services and company achievements.
• Support paid social media advertising campaigns.
• Monitor content performance, reach, engagement and enquiries.
• Provide regular reports on social media growth and marketing results.
• Identify new opportunities to increase our online presence.
• Help position Tamar Roofing as a leading roofing contractor in Plymouth and the South West.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We want someone who is creative, confident, organised and genuinely passionate about producing exceptional content.

Essential Requirements

Proven experience in videography and professional video editing.

Experience managing business social media accounts.

Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube.

Ability to create engaging, high-quality short-form video content.

Proficiency with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro.

Excellent photography and camera operation skills.

Strong understanding of social media trends and audience engagement.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

Creative mindset with the confidence to suggest new ideas.

Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Skills

Experience with drone videography and aerial photography.

Experience producing content for construction, property or trade businesses.

Knowledge of Meta Ads Manager and paid advertising.

Experience creating YouTube content.

Graphic design skills using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

Understanding of social media analytics and lead generation.

Experience developing and growing a business brand.
