  • Supervise, develop and motivate a team of tradespeople across your operational area.
  • Ensure empty homes are completed to the required standard and within agreed turnaround times.
  • Monitor performance against KPIs, inspect completed works and take action where standards or deadlines are not met.
  • Manage specialist contractors, monitoring service-level agreements, workmanship, variations and performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of costs, budgets, work progress and financial reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, company procedures and relevant training standards.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across property services to improve service delivery and achieve operational targets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, quality and value for money.

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in property maintenance, construction or a related service environment.
  • Experience supervising or managing a team, ideally within social housing or property services.
  • A strong understanding of empty homes, voids turnaround or planned and responsive maintenance.
  • Good commercial awareness, with the ability to manage costs and work within budgets.
  • Experience managing contractors and monitoring quality, productivity and performance.
  • A customer-focused approach, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and take ownership of issues through to resolution.
  • A good understanding of health and safety within a construction or maintenance environment.
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email and job management systems.
  • The ability to identify process improvements and support a high-performing, motivated team.

What's on offer?

  • The opportunity to lead a team and make a tangible difference to the quality and availability of homes.
  • A varied role combining team leadership, contractor management, property maintenance and operational delivery.
  • The chance to improve performance, service quality and value for money within a property services environment.
