Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager for a 6-week industrial strip-out and roofing project in Carlisle, starting Monday 19th October.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and site operatives
- Plan and coordinate strip-out and roofing activities
- Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the programme
- Maintain high standards of health & safety across the site
- Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings
- Review RAMS and ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved methods
- Maintain accurate site records, diaries and progress reports
- Monitor quality and ensure works meet the required standards
- Liaise with the project team, subcontractors and client representatives
- Identify and resolve site issues to minimise delays to the programme
- Manage site logistics, deliveries and housekeeping
Requirements:
- SMSTS
- CSCS
- First Aid
- Fire Marshal
- Asbestos Awareness
- Good IT skills, including the ability to complete site documentation and reporting electronically
- Strong knowledge of construction health & safety
- Previous Site Manager experience, ideally on industrial, strip-out, refurbishment or roofing projects
