- Accounts Assistant - Part Time

- Hours: 12 hours per week - Tuesdays and Fridays (Flexible for the right candidate)
- Salary: £31,000 pro rata

About the role
HRGO Recruitment are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our client, a leading UK-based online auction company with an innovative and fast-paced approach to its work.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous accounts and credit control experience who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work and is confident working independently.
Working just two days a week, you'll play an important role in keeping the day-to-day finance function running smoothly, supporting everything from invoicing and payments to credit control and supplier management.
What you'll be doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reconciling and processing purchase invoices, receipts, merchant payments and direct debits
- Processing weekly sales invoices
- Managing credit control, including contacting clients by phone and email
- Managing the accounts and suppliers' inboxes
- Creating weekly payment runs
- Supporting customer onboarding and offboarding
- Processing monthly supplier invoicing
- Assisting with payroll and pension queries
- Carrying out quarterly audits of management accounts, standing orders, purchase invoices and nominal codes
- Providing general support across the accounts function as required
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in an accounts or finance role
- Has experience in credit control
- Is confident working independently and managing their own workload
- Is organised, accurate and comfortable working to deadlines
- Has a good eye for detail and takes pride in getting things right
- Is confident communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues
- Has experience using accounting software - ideally Xero, Sage and Zendesk
