About the role
This role sits within our Corporate team in the Income Generation directorate, working across both New Partnerships and Partnership Management to deliver strategic partnership activity in line with Shelter's organisational goals.
This is a fantastic opportunity to build broad corporate partnerships experience within an ambitious and fast-paced team. Supporting across both New Corporate Partnerships and Corporate Partnership Management, the role will give you a unique view of the full partnership journey from identifying and developing new opportunities through to launching, managing and growing established corporate relationships.
You'll work alongside experienced corporate fundraisers, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills across new business, relationship management, commercial thinking, pitching and partnership delivery, while being supported to take on increasing responsibility and ownership.
Around 60% of the role will support our new partnerships activity, helping identify and progress opportunities, managing incoming corporate enquiries, speaking to prospective partners and supporting pitches and partnership launches. The role will also manage the New Partnerships financial processes, including coding income and tracking donations on Microsoft Dynamics.
Alongside this, you will have an opportunity to support on existing partnerships as well ownership of your own, building the relationship and developing activity to grow its income and impact, as well as supporting colleagues across our wider portfolio.

About you
You will be proactive and have excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage and win people over and convey complex ideas succinctly, confidently and persuasively. You will have experience in corporate fundraising, partnership management or account management and be able to strengthen relationships with existing partnerships to grow fundraising income. You will have attention to detail and be able to work across multiple projects in a busy team environment and be able to plan workloads effectively to deliver budgeted income from partnerships and initiatives.

About the team
The Income Generation Directorate at Shelter comprises of 5 departments, delivering a mature fundraising programme that has seen continuous year on year diversity and growth. The directorate generates over £48m gross income each year, of which a high percentage is unrestricted. Our Corporate Partnerships team is split into two areas - New Partnerships which generates income by securing new relationships with private sector businesses, and the Partnership Management team, where this role sits, is responsible for the growth of Shelter's voluntary income by managing and developing existing corporate partnerships spanning a variety of sectors.
