A well established, large scale UK manufacturer is looking for a Treasury Manager to help run and shape its Treasury function during an exciting period of change. Following a recent shift in ownership, the business has a newly appointed board and a fresh transformation agenda underway, making this a rare chance to join right at the start of a new chapter, with real influence over how the function develops.
What you'll be doing
You'll join a small, tight knit Treasury team of four, two experienced analysts and two more recent joiners, reporting into the Head of Treasury.
It's a hands on role rather than a purely strategic one: you'll be running the day-to-day cash and payments operation while also taking on line management responsibility and helping develop the team beneath you.
Duties
- Keeping on top of the group's cash position and short term forecasting, making sure funding is where it needs to be
- Getting payments (international transfers, SAP invoice runs, manual payments) out the door accurately and on time
- Handling trade finance paperwork , letters of credit, guarantees, bonds, export collections
- Keeping bank accounts, intercompany balances and financial instruments properly reconciled
- Acting as the day-to-day point of contact for the company's banking partners, including KYC and account admin
- Contributing to how Treasury policy and risk controls evolve
- Pulling together reporting and dashboards for senior stakeholders
- Supporting audit requests as they come in
- Coaching and supporting junior members of the team
What we're looking for
ACCA, CIMA or ACT qualified, or well into their studies (roughly 70%+ complete) with a clear finish line in sight.
Beyond that, we're really looking for:
- Real transactional experience - someone who has actually run cash and payment processes, not just reviewed them
- A working grasp of funding structures and hedging
- Confidence reconciling bank and treasury positions
- Trade finance exposure - candidates from a banking or financial services middle-office background
- A background in management accounting or cashflow work management
- The people skills to genuinely manage and get the best out of a small team
- Strong organisation, attention to detail, and solid Excel skills
- A down to earth, collaborative manner
What's on Offer
- Up to £60,000 base salary
- Company pension scheme
- 27 days annual leave + bank holidays
- Life assurance
- Company sick pay scheme
- Health cash plan
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Family friendly policies including enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave
- The opportunity to be part of a business entering a genuinely new and stable chapter
