Senior Events Executive

- Global financial services company

- Salary up to £55,000 plus bonus and benefits

- Initial 12 month fixed term contract

- Hybrid working (3 days in Central London office and 2 days from home)

We're looking for an experienced Events & Sponsorship professional to join a growing marketing team on a fixed-term basis. This is a varied role for someone who enjoys bringing events and marketing campaigns to life, building strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, and creating engaging experiences for clients and prospects. You'll take responsibility for a broad programme of events, sponsorships and integrated marketing activity, working with teams across the business to deliver high-quality events and campaigns that support engagement, brand awareness and wider commercial objectives.

You'll be involved in:

  • Supporting the development and delivery of an annual events and sponsorship programme.

  • Managing the planning and delivery of in-person and virtual events, including conferences, webinars, networking events and sponsored activities.

  • Working closely with internal teams to deliver engaging client and prospect experiences.

  • Managing event budgets and monitoring commercial performance and ROI.

  • Sourcing and managing venues, suppliers, agencies and event technology providers.

  • Coordinating registrations, communications, hospitality and event logistics.

  • Maximising sponsorship opportunities through effective activation and supporting marketing campaigns.

  • Developing integrated marketing campaigns to promote events and sponsorship activity.

  • Creating engaging content including invitations, email communications, presentations and promotional materials.

  • Producing post-event reports and analysing performance to identify insights and improvements.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in events, sponsorship or marketing role.

  • Experience of events within financial services, banking, professional services or similar

  • A proven track record of managing events from initial planning through to delivery and evaluation.

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting.

  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

  • Experience managing budgets and working with external suppliers and partners.

  • Experience with event management and webinar platforms such as Cvent, Zoom Webinar or similar.

  • A creative and proactive approach, with the ability to come up with ideas and turn them into successful activity.
